what am I doing now?

Beyond the Camera...

I'm pretty eclectic as a person. Which is basically a polite way of saying that I tend to like a lot of things, none of which seem to "go" with each other. Designer shoes & working on cars, Justin Timberlake and Mahler, leather jackets and high heels, romantic and sarcastic. I like to keep things interesting, that's for sure! But here are the basics:

I've been married to the most amazing man, Preston, for going on 5 years now. He'll be embarrassed I mentioned him, but he's starting to get used to it.

We're livin' it up in the Santa Clarita Valley (just north of Los Angeles) and just had our first child (a boy - Cameron Lee) in January 22, 2009. I absolutely love being a mom!

We have the two cutest dogs on the planet (a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd and a Welsh Corgi). No, really. I don't want to hear arguments people. You can't beat these two. Just accept it.

I am a fashion nut. I love watching things like "Project Runway" and have a not-so-minor obsession with shoes. Don't even ask how many pairs I own.

In my world, coffee is a MUST. I love it. No, that's not a strong enough word. If I could replace my blood with coffee, I think I would.

I'm a musician. For reals. I've played the trombone for about 18 years and I'm the Director of Music & Worship at my church. I even got my BA in Music Business.

I like to think I can dance. I can't, but I like to THINK it. If you'll be embarrassed by the photographer at your event groovin' while she shoots, I'm not your girl.

I rebuilt a 1969 Chevelle when I was in college and loved every minute I got to drive that baby. I highly recommend the experience.

The best way to get to know me more is to read the blog. I update it often with a mix of both personal and professional life (current shoots, projects I'm working on, personal stuff, inspiration for other photographers, things that make me laugh, etc). Oh! and leave comments. I love comments. It makes my day. No joke. Thanks for visiting!
